1. Seekae's music is
uncategorizable yet is extremely emotionally relevant. Have you found this lack
of category helps or hinders you? What are your influences, as I'd imagine
they'd be from all sorts of genres.
It changes - it can be tough
having to describe what we do - in terms of genre. 'Electronic' is a good
starting point. We've always felt that we were making dance floor music, in one
way or another. Our influences do range beyond the purely digital though - I
guess anything that approaches song writing from a unique angle aurally.
2. Favorite food / drink
spot in Aus post show?
Cheers on George Street in
Sydney. Great pie selection behind the bar. Just ask Hedge.
3. What kind of set up are
you using? Sequencers / amps / computers / etc.
It varies - last tour we had
a pair of laptops, an MPC, a Roland SP-404, two Korgs, and an SPDS as well as
the drum kit.
4. Favorite musical moment
of the past year?
Splicing Slim Dusty's
'Duncan' to violent civil war reenactments. Classic.
5. Best place to play in Australia? Where/What would your ideal show be?
Cruising down to Bondi Beach in a convoy of Rav-4's with personalised license plates - shredding on a key-tar. Then I'll buy everyone BLTs. Yipikaye.
